I was at a concert the other day and they had a huge crt tv playing eraserhead on vhs! Did you know that the vhs version of eraserhead is an earlier version of the film, which has different audio and music to the later versions?
Please enjoy a picture of the lady in the radiator on a big CRT.

It was a david lynch themed show for the anniversary of his passing. Everyone was playing music inspired by or covering his work. It sounds cheesy but it was amazing!

Quote:I had heard there were differences in the VHS version. Didn't know it was audio. I've been hunting for a vhs copy of this movie and Possession that isn't over 100$ but I'm not sure I'll ever get the price I'm looking for. Lol
To be specific, the music on the 'stomping the bug' dance is completely different, and so are ai think all of the other old timey music bits, including random ambient sounds and the credits.
Afaik the changes were decided on by lynch himself, and the new music really does fit the film better imo. But as a big fan, it's crazy to have a version of the film with so many differences.
