Topic for French-Bread, the developers of famously french fighting game series like Melty Blood and Under-Night In-Birth.

Lunacy no longer lurks within this world, for it dwells in broad daylight. The weeds of madness and disharmony have wrung themselves so tightly around our roots that it’d take a millennium of deforestation to regain our lost sense.
I'm not really sure if anyone on the forum is that big into uni2 but I started to give Lid's newest podcast a listen and I think what corey and omnideag have to say about their competitive mindsets is so interesting, they're on both sides of the spectrum of preparedness and it really got me thinking about my play.

content like that podcast is why i kinda wish mbaacc had a larger scene, i think content like that is really cool. i used to listen to podcasts of counter strike back when i competed in that game. i kinda miss it lol
I'm not really an fpanner but I like guilty gear strive :D I play potemkin!!!!!!!! MBAACC is cooler than uni2 for sure if I were to try to get back into an fpan game it would probably be that (f-nero is made for blockheads like myself)

Honestly, I've been looking for a good reason to start strictly discussing the game like this. I'm a big fan of enpicie's articles because they have such a similar perspective to mine on consciously learning fighting games, plus, melty was one of the first games i awakened my internal monologue for as i grew up lol. haven't been using my brain playing fighting games recently though bad bad bad bad

melty blood was the game that led me to the realization that gamers aren’t humans
today i am vindicated. my sheltered unemployed ironypilled chud (i'm forgetting more gamer words here) friend crashed out because i texted him like a normal person would and it revealed a lot of stupid shitty insecurities he had that were related to me. this has been my topic of the day honestly it's a great excuse to strike up conversation with old friends because what he did was truly repulsive lolol. i'm not gonna air everything out because dude has clear anger issues (and needs to do something instead of punching his walls about it) and the way the whole friend group would discuss fighting games were so fucking stupid, so stupid that i cant believe i ever gave it the benefit of a doubt xd
i have to say im curious about your comment on how they would discuss fighting games the wrong way. do they not understand how mechanics work or something?
do they not understand how mechanics work or something?
I wish it was that simple. the biggest part is they're just childish. I'd typically ask them to hop on a game and they'd either bitch at me or bitch at the game. gotta stop enjoying my life around miserable people that peaked in high school............. my "friend"'s odd behavior only started when i started improving at fighting games so its definitely an ego problem or something
