wow that's cool, doesn't the bat scare you at night though?

A lonely, quiet person has observations and experiences that are at once both more indistinct and more penetrating than those of one more gregarious; his thoughts are weightier, stranger, and never without a tinge of sadness. (...) Loneliness fosters that which is original, daringly and bewilderingly beautiful, poetic. But loneliness also fosters that which is perverse, incongruous, absurd, forbidden.

my friends keep asking me this and I need a good rebuttal to justify using up all my money on my growing crt collection

There are so many reasons that CRTs are superior  it's not even funny.

- Instant response time for gaming
- Flickering from beam scanning hypnotizes you
- Coil whine puts you in a trance like state
- Low res content looks amazing

The biggest thing is that last one. Old stuff is way better than new stuff right now and the old stuff just looks better on a laser beam hitting phosphors. It's scientifically proven

I had a bad day at work the other day. I worked way too much overtime, and I came home exhausted and depressed. But when I got home, the light was shining just right on my CRT and it made me feel better.

Lunacy no longer lurks within this world, for it dwells in broad daylight. The weeds of madness and disharmony have wrung themselves so tightly around our roots that it’d take a millennium of deforestation to regain our lost sense.
